Audiobook Woes

So, if you guys read my previous post, you know that I got my first ever audiobook for the 2015 Reading Challenge - The Illustrated Man by Ray Bradbury.

It did not go well you guys.

Here's the thing, I'm more of an auditory learner. I learn better when I'm listening to someone explain something. So naturally, audiobooks MUST bring me joy. It should have been my thing.

But no... This is what happened -

 I totally dozed off. Then I thought maybe it would be better if I heard the audiobook while I was travelling. I usually listen to music while travelling, so this should be the solution. I'll surely finish at least half the book.

Nope.

I totally fell asleep again.

Maybe it was the narrator. I think because his voice was so calm, it started to feel like a lullaby and I just dozed off. Lovelies, I don't think audiobooks are for me. Am I alone in this?

Maybe I should try another audiobook next year? With a different narrator? Any recommendations?

Randomness and Apologies!

First off, so sorry for being MIA for so long my lovelies... I've been in a stormy mood and sick for a few weeks now... But I'm back feeling, well as better as I can... Then there's the exams looming in the near future...

I've been reading a little, not as much as I would like. So I'm thinking I'd post at least every alternate day to catch up.

Did you guys know there was a Scooby-Doo Team-Up series of comics?! I just got a bunch of them and I'm feeling all sorts of nostalgic for the good old days of watching cartoons and just lazing around.
I'll be starting on that after my current reads!

Speaking of, what are you guys reading? Any recommendations??

Also have you guys got your copy of The Sword of Summer yet?!?! GET IT!! Oh gods! Its going really well so far!

In other news, I totally spaced out to share a picture of the cake that I baked for mom on her birthday!
Here it is....  I think it turned out quite alright! ☺













I've also finally given in and joined Pinterest... Gods its addictive!

I tried out a couple of the DIYs.... Its been fun... Lemme know if you all would like to see the pictures or something! Will sort out the boards and put up links to all the accounts soon! And be more active ;)
