January Update

Lovelies, this week has been full of new things for me. I just started my internship this week, and it has been so rewarding! I'm just trying to catch up with everything. While there I met an author, which was AMAZING! After meeting him I'm now considering getting his books, even though they are non-fiction! *gasp*

I know, I know. Too much.

Speaking of books, I've been seriously dragging with my reading this time. January has not been good on the reading front for me. But I'm really enjoying Crane by Stacey Rourke. If any of you like Sleepy Hollow (book, movie, or the TV show), you might want to pick this one up!

I'm also a bit behind on my language studies.. I need to figure out a way to sit and study, like soon!

I know you all were probably expecting a Featured Author Post but I've just been really swamped this week! :(

Promise I'll make it up next week!

On a happier note, YAY for the TV shows being back!! I still have to catch up a bit though. :P Oh well. Let me know which shows you're enjoying this season? (Does that sound right?)

Take care! Stay busy!

Review for The Air He Breathes by Brittainy C. Cherry

The Air He Breathes by Brittainy C. Cherry
Blurb:
I was warned about Tristan Cole.

“Stay away from him,” people said.
“He’s cruel.”
“He’s cold.”
“He’s damaged.”

It’s easy to judge a man because of his past. To look at Tristan and see a monster.

But I couldn’t do that. I had to accept the wreckage that lived inside of him because it also lived inside of me.

We were both empty.
We were both looking for something else. Something more.
We both wanted to put together the shattered pieces of our yesterdays.

Then perhaps we could finally remember how to breathe.

Review:

Let me just come clean here.

Featured Author: Stacey Rourke

Featured Author: Stacey Rourke

For my first Featured Author Fridays I thought I'd go with one of my favorite and go to authors - Stacey Rourke!

I've loved her writing style ever since I read The Conduit. I just got The Legends Saga, and I'm in love with her writing all over again.

Her posts on social media sites are funny, and you can see where her characters get all that sass from. I recently reconnected with her on FB after a while, and she is the sweetest person ever!

I was hoping I'd have a lot more to say about her but honestly, I'm at a loss for words at the moment. I think Stacey is one of the most genuine and wonderful people and authors I've had the pleasure of knowing, and I think you all should go give her some love and definitely check out her books!

Let's talk a little about her books.

The Gryphon Series was one of the first books with a kick-ass female lead that I had read in a long time, and it was exactly the kind of book I love. It was funny, sassy, fast paced, and everything you'd want in a book.
So if you all lovely readers are looking for a new series to obsess over look no further! Gryphon Series has got you covered - from the laughs to action to feels, its got it all!

She also wrote a stand-alone novel called Adapted for Film, which I LOVED! It was adorable, with a healthy dose of sass that I've come to expect, and look forward to, from Stacey's books. For all my rom-com loving readers out there this would be a perfect lazy day read!

The Legends Saga is one I started recently, the first book so far has been really interesting. Its a sort of retelling of the classic story of The Headless Horseman. More on this series after I finish reading it!

I'd recommend her books to everyone! Definitely check out her books all the links are down at the end!
