Review:
PLEASE TELL ME THERE WILL BE A BOOK 2!!!!! This book you guys, I can't even. ♥

Sometimes there's a book that you and you just know, you just know you are going to love it. That was this book for me. I saw the title and I was like yep, this is going to be a good one. And it was SO GOOD!!

The Starfish Talisman was funny, relateable and spooky. Let me tell you, I read every night till I fall asleep and you guys, I had to stop reading this one for a couple days because I was so spooked out. I couldn't read it at night and not start to hear things. My imagination was going wild!

I loved the characters, especially Wiley ♥ that doggo has my heart. All the characters felt well thought out and had their own distinct voice. Even the dogs. The myth around the story felt well thought out and was really intriguing. I can't wait to see what happens next.

The only thing is I wish that the book was a little more polished. Other than that this book was amazing.

I also loved the writing style. It flowed really well and had me hooked from page one. When a book keeps you up and reading, even when you're sick, you know it is a good one.

Will definitely re-read and beg the author for book 2. ;)

Overall, fantastically creepy read. LOVED IT!

All the Crooked Saints by Maggie Stiefvater

All The Crooked Saints by Maggie Steifvater

Blurb:
Here is a thing everyone wants: a miracle.
Here is a thing everyone fears: what it takes to get one.

Any visitor to Bicho Raro, Colorado is likely to find a landscape of dark saints, forbidden love, scientific dreams, miracle-mad owls, estranged affections, one or two orphans, and a sky full of watchful desert stars.

At the heart of this place you will find the Soria family, who all have the ability to perform unusual miracles. And at the heart of this family are three cousins longing to change its future: Beatriz, the girl without feelings, who wants only to be free to examine her thoughts; Daniel, the Saint of Bicho Raro, who performs miracles for everyone but himself; and Joaquin, who spends his nights running a renegade radio station under the name Diablo Diablo.

They are all looking for a miracle. But the miracles of Bicho Raro are never quite what you expect.

Review:
So here's the thing, I LOVE the Raven Boys. Its probably one of my favourite series OF ALL TIME. Then there's books like The Scorpio Races and this gorgeous book, that are just everything.

First of all the COVER. HOW GORGEOUS IS IT!!?!?! I could just sit and stare at it for hours.

All The Crooked Saints was just as amazing as all things Stiefvater. Everything she touches is magic. There's some inexplicable magic every time I read a book by her. And this book was no different. I loved the book so much. I can't even find the right words to tell you how amazing this book was.

I loved the characters, the writing style, everything, just everything was great.

Go read this book.

Featured Author: Stacey Rourke

Featured Author: Stacey Rourke

For my first Featured Author Fridays I thought I'd go with one of my favorite and go to authors - Stacey Rourke!

I've loved her writing style ever since I read The Conduit. I just got The Legends Saga, and I'm in love with her writing all over again.

Her posts on social media sites are funny, and you can see where her characters get all that sass from. I recently reconnected with her on FB after a while, and she is the sweetest person ever!

I was hoping I'd have a lot more to say about her but honestly, I'm at a loss for words at the moment. I think Stacey is one of the most genuine and wonderful people and authors I've had the pleasure of knowing, and I think you all should go give her some love and definitely check out her books!

Let's talk a little about her books.

The Gryphon Series was one of the first books with a kick-ass female lead that I had read in a long time, and it was exactly the kind of book I love. It was funny, sassy, fast paced, and everything you'd want in a book.
So if you all lovely readers are looking for a new series to obsess over look no further! Gryphon Series has got you covered - from the laughs to action to feels, its got it all!

She also wrote a stand-alone novel called Adapted for Film, which I LOVED! It was adorable, with a healthy dose of sass that I've come to expect, and look forward to, from Stacey's books. For all my rom-com loving readers out there this would be a perfect lazy day read!

The Legends Saga is one I started recently, the first book so far has been really interesting. Its a sort of retelling of the classic story of The Headless Horseman. More on this series after I finish reading it!

I'd recommend her books to everyone! Definitely check out her books all the links are down at the end!

My THG Story

My THG Story started when my friend recommended THG to me. After the constant nagging, as any good book buddy does, I finally gave in and started reading. And I was a goner right from page one. I would rush back home everyday so that I could read more of the book and I think I must have finished it in a week or two maybe?
I remember just making up excuses and just rushing out after the lectures to get back to the book. I laughed, I cried and went into a major book hangover (of course!). I would rave about it to anyone that would listen. I bored my parents with the story and cried about how unfair it was. I might feel a teeny tiny bit bad for them now though. I begged my mom to get me the box set because I just HAD to have it. She eventually gave in..

Here it is! My precious!

I loved the characters, the strength, and the story. I loved the strong female lead the most I think. Maybe because of the things going on at the time, or maybe it was something else, but this series just connected with me like none other had in quite a long time. I remember before, my favorite couples, or characters were never the main ones, I'd always gravitate towards the other characters in the story, but THG changed that (It changed back after Mockingjay, but come on! Finnick!). Katniss and Peeta are my OTP.
Then the first movie released and I dragged my mom along with me to watch it, partly because I drag her to go to all the movies with me and partly because I thought she might like it. She wasn't really sure about it but after the movie... she was a fan!! (And we've watched all the parts together!)

I loved the movies almost, not quite but almost, as much as the books. The movies managed to keep with the essence of the books and the actors I felt were apt for the characters.
Now, years after I first read the series. I still find small things that remind me of it, still find things that make it more endearing, still find things that break my heart all over again (looking at you heartbreaking headcannons!).

I'll love this series forever.
