Review:
Hell's Gift was so not what I expected it to be! It picks up after Save My Soul. Though it can be read as a stand alone, I feel reading the first book provides a certain depth and connection with the other characters.

As you can guess from the title, this books events take place in hell's realm. Rhyan has been cast out from heaven so that he can meet his soulmate and hopefully get out of his depression. Will he be able to save more than just his soul? I'm not gonna tell you, but you will be in for a hell of a surprise!

In the start I'll admit the story gets a little confusing with the jump in POVs (sort of reminded me of Dan Brown's novels where he keeps jumping to different POVs) but believe me once you get into the book it all comes together in a nice adventurous package!
To be honest, Rhyan's character was not one of my favorites in the first book but this one just might have convinced me that he's okay ;)  I loved, loved, loved the story. It's got humor, action, adventure, and sarcasm. What more could I want? I also found the description of all the different sydes of Hell to be very intriguing. That's one thing you can expect from this author's books, all of them have a very different take on  the world she portrays in her books.
As always I loved the writing style, but it was really difficult for me to read a certain character's lines (I hate it when I can't get the pronunciations right, pet peeve!)

Amazing, amazing, amazing - that's all I can say! Another brilliant book by K.S. Haigwood!

Review of Save My Soul by K.S. Haigwood

Save My Soul by K.S. Haigwood

Blurb:
Kendra Larkin had everything going in the right direction. Her life was seemingly perfect, and she wouldn't have changed a thing about it. Unfortunately, the course of her life was about to be forever altered. A tragic rappelling accident lands her on Dr. Adam Chamberlain's operating table.

She agrees to a deal proposed by a guardian angel to help save the soul of the man who is both her doctor and soulmate. If she is successful, she gets to keep her life. However, she later learns that it isn't just her life that's in jeopardy, but her soul as well.
Even with the help of her handsome guardian angel, Rhyan, it seems there is no happy ending in sight. Torn between her newly discovered love of Rhyan, and the undeniable attraction she has for Adam, Kendra finds herself at a crossroad. With Adam's steadfast rejection of God, and his guardian demon conspiring against her, she fears her soul may already be lost.
Will she find a way to overcome the evil her life is suddenly burdened with? Or will Adam's guardian demon win both their souls and make Kendra his own personal puppet in Hell?

Review:
All it takes is a week. Within a week Kendra has already died more times than any normal person should and survived, has seen miracles and has found her soulmate. But will she be able to keep him?
Follow Kendra and find out how she struggles to restore faith in a man who has long lost it and tries to save both their souls.
(That sounded more like a back cover description. :P But I didn't want to give anything away!)

Save My Soul was an amazing read. It was sweet and refreshing. The concept and the story line was very different from what I've read so far.
The concept of a Guardian Angel and a Guardian Demon was really interesting. I loved how all the characters are so well thought out. This is one of those books that has you hooked from the get go. So be prepared to not move for a while. ;)

There was a bit of abruptness I found in a few places but apart from that it is beautifully written and flows effortlessly.

Another amazing read from K.S. Haigwood!

Review of Love Lines by Diana Nixon: Love Lines Blog Tour

Love Lines by Diana Nixon

Blurb:

The traces of supernatural powers have always been crossing the world of human beings. Many people know about the existence of healers, mind readers, oneiromancers and wizards. But for centuries their lives have been kept secret and no one has ever heard about Dever, a kingdom of mysteries and magic.
Neither has Eileen Clark, whose life has never been different from the one other teenagers have.
Everything changes the day Eileen receives an invitation to join the ranks of Dever’s students.
Nothing will ever be the same again…
New life, new friends, new enemies…
And love so powerful that no magic will be able to destroy…

Review:
Love Lines follows the story of Eileen Clark, who was supposed to head off to a normal college and have a normal life; but she is invited to join the ranks at Dever, a university for the magical and supernatural. Now nothing in Eileen's life is remotely normal, she struggles to adjust and soak in all  the new information about this world she never knew existed, a love so powerful and enemies already out to get her.

Diana Nixon has created yet another enchanting book world to keep her readers completely engaged in the story.
One of the things that I like about this author's work is that the reactions of the characters are reasonable and actually not that different from how any of us would react if we were in that place. Which lets us understand the characters better and connect to the story.
I loved the descriptions of Dever I could almost imagine how it looked! (and this isn't something I can do all the time! :P )
This is one of the books that I would love to see as a movie because well the effects would be fantastic!
Another thing I loved about this book are the little legends mentioned in the books, I think it adds more to the whole book world.

Just one thing that I would say is I wish it was a tad more polished! It would have made the whole reading experience better.

Overall - A beautiful and engaging story full of mystery and magic.

PS - Isn't the cover just GORGEOUS!?! ^_^ <3
