The Pack Retribution by LM Preston's Blog Tour Guest Post

So excited to be a part of LM Preston's Blog Tour! :D
Here is an awesome guest post for you all!!
Also.. Hello! How awesome is the cover?! *-*

Guest Post: I BUILD MY CHARACTERS FROM REAL HEROES
HAVE YOU EVER WANTED TO BE A SUPER HERO? How would you become one in real life?
Alright, I admit it; I want to be a super hero. Never mind the fact that I am a grown woman with kids. I have always wanted to be one. From the first time I saw Wonder Woman, I wanted to be like her. I wanted to be beautiful, alluring, and strong enough to do any sized opponent some real damage.
I’ll even admit that at my five feet stature, I feel like a super hero inside. I believe that because of this desire, this fantasy, I started to make this a real possibility for me in my life.
HOW DO YOU BECOME A SUPER HERO IN REAL LIFE?
There are lots of ways we humanoids can become super heroes in real life.
I have become one by being what today’s society deems as a ‘Super Woman’. I work full time and part-time while being a mom, a wife and kicking out a novel in four months in which I live my super hero fantasies out on paper. My friends tell me that I am not normal, however doing all of these things seem completely normal to me. It is who I have conditioned myself to be.
My husband became a ‘Super Man’ when he was driving home one night and saw an accident up ahead of him. He actually jumped down a hill and over a guard rail, to turn over a three hundred pound man to give him CPR. Although he didn’t save the man’s life, he was instrumental in doing so because he tried too.
My cousin Armor (yes that is his real name) became a ‘Super Boy’ when he and his brother were playing with friends in the woods behind their home. One of the boys put a fire cracker into a gas can. Well my younger cousin Aaron went to check on the impending explosion and it blew up in his face. My cousin Armor, although typically not a strong kid, picked up his brother and ran him all the way home. His parents weren’t home at the time, so he called 911, and put his screaming brother under cool running water until the ambulance got there.
Anyone can become a ‘Super Hero’ you just have to find your gift, your strength and realize that you too can make a difference, save a life, and enrich yours at the same time.

Updates! :)

Well hello there!

First off I just want to say that Whoa! I cannot believe that the blog has been viewed over a 1000 times!! :D I'm absolutely blown away and I love you all for taking the time out to read it.. Muah!

About me being MIA for a bit.. Well this year I tired coming out of my comfort zone and participated in presentation competitions and wrote my first Research Paper!! The Research Paper thing was the first time I had ever been on stage and gave a presentation, it was scary and I was shaking like a leaf and thought after seeing all the mindblowing presentations of other participants that there wasn't any chance that my team would win.. But we did!!! :D We got the first place along with another person (who has been doing presentations and winning every single one - I think that's a compliment to be tied with them! :P ) The next presentation which was this week, I had like literally one and a half days to prepare and present it on an inter-collegiate level! (We changed everything at the last minute, were unprepared for the question and answer session and still got 3rd place!!)
So what I'm trying to say is - You don't need to be professional or perfect to try something out of your comfort zone. You just need to give a 100% effort and hope for the best! That's all you can do. And from my experiences - your best effort never goes unnoticed. I could go on and on about this but I will not bore you all with my stories.. Hehe :P

Now for the update on the blog and Facebook Page
I need your views and opinions here.. What would you all like to see?

I just realized that I don't include ratings here. Do you all want me to? Like in every review post I would include ratings.

Next thing would be recommendations. I usually post about the amazing Authors' books and other posts like that over the Facebook Page (https://www.facebook.com/curiositykey) Would you like to see a post here as well? Like once a month or once a week??

What about the background for the blog.. I'm thinking one of my pictures.. We could hold a contest for this too?? Hmmm.....

And lastly.. Hellow!! 1000+ blog views calls for a giveaway!! I want to plan something super amazing for you all if it works out (I really hope it does) it would be fun! I'll have more details about it after my exams which will end sometime around 17th Oct. *Sob Sob* Which means less reading time! :(
But I'll be back sooner or later! ;)

I'll try to have some reviews on here in between if I can.
Till then could you all pretty please let me know what changes you would like to see? And let me know about the questions too?? Comment, shoot me a message - here or FB. I try to answer all the comments and I always reply to the messages! :)

And of course if you need anything feel free to shoot me a message or post on the Facebook Page or whatever you'd like! :)
Till later! Take Care!

Review of Rift Healer by Diane M. Haynes

Rift Healer by Diane M. Haynes

" "Hey, look at that,” Lacey whispered, staring into the woods. Haley and Taylor followed her gaze and saw on the edge of the forest, the unicorn stallion. Surrounded by deep green hemlock trees and illuminated by a misty shaft of golden sunlight, he shimmered and glowed in the most magical scene ever. At that moment, the unicorn lifted his muzzle, caught a look at the kids and disappeared, dissolving in a thick curtain of glitter. As the sparkles faded in the sunshine, the three exchanged wide-eyed looks. "

Being warned by the fortune teller about having the most exciting and dangerous summer of their life, twins Hayley and Lacey head to their grandmother’s for the summer. Looking forward to romance and adventure, not knowing that’s exactly what they’ll get and then some! Rift Healer was exciting, fun and it never really had a dull moment in it. Beautiful imagery made me want to actually visit the forest. The concept is so unique and different that its special to me just for that! This one had me in the start itself when I read that map... I love it when the author takes the book a step further and puts in maps and other imagery to help it just makes me appreciate the book a whole lot more...
This book has it all, all of my favorite things – Magic, Unicorns, Dragons, Water Sprites, Faries, Good Plot – which never gets boring, Fast paced, Action packed and the best part its an escape! The imagery and the way its described is so simple that you just get carried away to this beautiful place... But I will have to say my favorite scene was the unicorn one.. I loved it! :D
Amazing read for all fantasy lovers out there!! :D

PS: The little passage above I quoted is not the unicorn scene I was talking about! You'll have to read to find out!! ;)

You can get your copy of Rift Healer over at Amazon
And you can connect with the author on her Facebook Page

PPS: I'm so sorry to have been MIA all this while! I'll tell you all about it in some other post... :)
Till Later! Take Care all!

Review:
"Don’t get me wrong, I love school. What sixteen-year old isn't thrilled to rise before the sun to begin a day of pursuits in higher education? Of course there are some who frown upon the waking—the guys, the girls, kids who are breathing…"

First let me just say - WOW!!
This is Lisa Morgan's first book and its just such an amazing one! This one had me in the first few pages itself. Its witty, well thought out and well has my favorite two things - Sarcasm and Fantasy! ;)
Pheonix Rising centers around Maggie who is in for the shock of her life. She is not who she thought she was. Everyone she knows, all that she knows the world to be is going to be thrown out of the window. She has to embrace the new world she comes to know exists and what she is...
This was the first book that I read based on the Pheonix and I must say it blew my mind. The characters are just so believable and you can see them grow. I loved her writing style. The words seemed to flow effortlessly and kept me up till wee hours reading... Don't get me wrong I love my sleep but this book was just that good!
I only wish I could read the book Liam recorded - A Record of the days of The Realm... *Hint Hint*

If you like fantasy, great characters, and good writing.. Just get this book! I for one can't wait to read the next book! :D
